Grooms, James, 64, b. May 1836, blacksmith; Isibel J., wife, 52, b. 1848, weaver, married 36 years, mother of 6 children, 5 living; Lucy M., dau, 28, b. Jan 1872 (? looks like 1877); David, son, 26, b. Mar 1874 (?), grist miller; Sareta, dau, 18, b. July 1881, farmer. All born Ky Ky Ky.
This enumerator has terrible handwriting, especially on numbers. 4, 5, 8, 9 and 6 all look very similar, sort of like a 5 with a hook at the bottom, or an 8 with a very tight bottom loop and a wide open top.
