His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Oscar Vonstine Christian, age 44, born 10 May 1874, residence Fremont, Dickenson Co., Va, occupation watchman for W. M. Ritter Lbr Co., Fremont, Va, nearest relative Mrs. Eliza Christian, Fremont, Va.
His gravestone says Oscar Vonstine Christian, Oct 10, 1874 - Aug 30, 1952. I cannot find him in the Kentucky death index, so he probably died in Virginia or some other state and was returned to Rowan Co for burial.

It is really the second marriage for Oscar.
1920 census of Dickenson Co., Virginia, Ervington district, enumerated 21 Jan, lists on p. 15B as family #268/272:

1930 census of Wise Co., Virginia, Lipps district, enumerated 3 April, lists on p. 5B as family #97/98:
Christian, Eliza, 45, widowed, age at first marriage 15, b. Ky Ky Ky; Hazel, dau, 15; Cordella, dau, 13; Pearl, dau, 9. All daughters born Va Ky Ky.
Although Eliza is recorded as widowed, Oscar apparently outlived her, if his gravestone is to be believed.
