He was a master mechanic and operated Alfrey's Garage. He was a veteran of U.S. Army and Army Air Corp during WWII. His lifetime hobbies included motorcycles, race-cars, and gardening. Survivors: wife, Evelyn Foster Alfrey; sons & daughters-in-law, Terry and Carolyn Alfrey, Randy and Denise Alfrey; son, Alan F. Alfrey; grandchildren, Christy and husband Paul Fugate, Adam& Jason Alfrey; great grandson, Isaac Fugate; brothers, Eugene and Paul Alfrey; sister, Wanda Carter; half brother, Spencer & wife Kay Alfrey; several nieces & nephews.”
