His obituary as abstracted on FindAGrave reported Winford Russell Crosthwaite, age 87, son of Alfred and Mollie Armstong Crosthwaite. A businessman, he was a former owner of the Morehead Home and Auto in Morehead for 31 years, was the former owner of Crosthwaite Furniture Store and a partner in the C&H Furniture, co-owner of the Sinclair Service Station and former co-owner of Larry's Marine. Survived by wife; one son, one daughter; one sister, Esther Brown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services Sunday, January 31 at the Morehead United Methodist Church.

A graduate of Morehead State University; taught in the Elliott and Rowan county schools, as well as in the Moonlight Schools. Preceded in death by husband, infant daughter Cara Janelle, and a sister, Frances Prichard Brown. Survived by a son, a daughter, 6 grandchildren, eleven gr-grandchildren, & 4 step-gr-grandchildren.”
