Notes for John Purvis
There were two John Pervis families in the 1820 census of northeast Kentucky, enumerated 7 Aug 1820.
In Fleming County was John Pervis, 2 males 16-25 and 2 females 16-25.
In Bath County was John Pervis, 1 male over 45, 1 female 26-44, 3 males 16-25, 2 males 16-18, 2 males 10-15, 1 male under 10, 1 female 10-15, and 1 female under 10.
The John Purvis/Pervis who married Ann Gillespie would be in the 16-25 age bracket, so he would not be the head of the Bath County household, and his father was reportedly named William, not John. So despite marrying in Bath Co., it seems a bit more likely that he was the Fleming Co. household.
