Her obituary reported “Gladys Quesinberry Puckett, 95, of Twin Oak Road, Ararat, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at her home.
She was born January 15, 1914 in Carroll County and was a daughter of the late Waller Edmond and Gillie Frances Hendricks Quesinberry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dunkley W. Puckett; a sister, Beulah Sower; and four brothers, Clive Quesinberry, Herbert Quesinberry, Cecil Quesinberry, and Hayden Quesinberry.
She was a homemaker and attended Doe Run Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, A. G. and Conelia Puckett and Montague and Juanita Puckett, all of Ararat; four grandchildren and their spouses, Teresa and Ronald Marshall and Dale and Debra Puckett, all of Ararat, Keith and Barbara Puckett of Statesville, N.C., and Dean and Ginger Puckett of White Plains, N.C.; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Pauline Wood of Vesta, and Ila Mae and Ralph Hall and Glennis Bowman, all of Ararat.
Funeral Services were held Sunday at Doe Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Vaughan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
