Her death certificate records Daisy Ramey, age 63, born 1880 in Rowan Co., Ky, died 10 Jun 1943 at Eastern State Hospital, Lexington, Fayette Co., Ky, single, father dead, mother dead (not named), cause of death arteriosclerotic heart disease, informant hospital records, burial at University of Louisville.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 6, p. 601, records the marriage on 3 June 1909 of Samuel Ramey, age 43, son of Jerry and Unice Ramey, to Daisey Ramey, age 27, daughter of Abel and Emily Ramey, at Isaac Thornsberry’s by Wesley Cox, witnesses Harrison Kidd and Amanda Thornsberry. Both spouses born in and residents of Rowan Co. It is recorded as a first marriage for Samuel and second for Daisy.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 26 April, lists on p. 8A as family #130/138:
Ramey, Sam, 46, farmer, 1st marriage; Daisy, wife, 38, 2nd marriage, married 1 year, mother of 3 children, 2 living; Bertha, stepdau, 8. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The next household is that of Daisy’s father, listed as Abe Ramey, age 54, third marriage, although no wife is present. Bertha should be listed as a Stiddom/Stidham; she also appears with her father and stepmother.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 23 Jan, lists on p. 9A as family #42:
Ramey, Sam, 60, laborer at Clearfield lumber mill; Daisey, wife, 38. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
