His sister Evelyn’s death certificate, however, gives her mother’s maiden name as Alice Boorman, which fits with Alice and Clarence living with Lena Boorman and Elmer Blevings in the 1920 census, and with Alice’s father’s birthplace being given as England. So the informant Alice Hall is probably his mother, who most likely remarried to a Hall and moved to Michigan, and reported her second married name rather than her maiden name.
