His obituary in the Hamilton (Ohio) Journal-News reported “WITHROW, Mr. Floyd age 84 of Somerset passed away November 19, 2010 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Floyd was born to Charles and Nellie Withrow on September 24, 1926 in Bath County, Kentucky. He was a veteran of WWII and was married 26 years to Reta Withrow who preceded him in death in 2002. Floyd was retired from the Hamilton Tool Company in Hamilton, Ohio where he lived for many years. He was also a real estate investor in Ohio as we as the owner of Floyd's Needful Things furniture and appliance store in Ohio and later in Somerset. He was a devoted Christian and member of The Millville Avenue Church of God in Hamilton, Ohio and he was a member of the Baptist Temple Church of Somerset.
He is survived by three children; Michael, Elizabeth, and Matthew , three grandchildren; Devin, Jacob, Benjamin; two sisters Eula Toy and Rhoda Goodpastor.
Other than his parents Floyd was preceded in death by one son; Randal Withrow.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery.”
