The Kentucky birth index lists Gordon W. Truesdell, born 26 Oct 1917 in Breathitt Co., mother’s maiden name Tkitty Adams. It is a delayed certificate, filed in 1942, Vol. 71, #35178.
It also lists Walter Trusedell, born 26 Oct 1917 in Breathitt Co., mother’s maiden name Kittie Adams. This certificate is in the 1917 Vol. 98, #48989.
It is unlikely that this represents twins with one dying young, since certificates for twins are nearly always numbered sequentially, and there is no corresponding death record. More likely he was originally named Walter, but the name changed to Gordon before the 1920 census, and an amended certificate was later filed, perhaps in order to apply for a Social Security number.
The Ohio deaths database lists Gordon William Truesdell, born 26 Oct 1917 in Kentucky, died 29 Sep 2002 at home in Warren Co., Ohio, married, 12 years education, father’s surname Truesdell, mother’s maiden name Adams.
