1930 census of Tulsa Co., Oklahoma, enumerated 8 April, lists on p. 9B as family #167/192, at 1716 W. Easton, Tulsa:
Caudill, Samuel J., 37, age at first marriage 24, b. Ky Ky Ky, petroleum engineer; Maymie Starling, wife, 32, age at first marriage 20, b. Ky Ky Ky; Samuel J., son, 7 (?), b. Oklahoma Ky Ky; Lindly, Bertha, servant, neg, 38, divorced, b. Tex Tex Tex.
The age for Samuel Jr. is hard to interpret. It looks like 1/2, with the 2 then crossed out and a small 7 written beside it. Judging by the SSDI, and the fact that Samuel was old enough to be the informant on his mother’s death certificate in 1938, it must be 7 years, though. Perhaps what appears to be 1/2 was really an 8, with part of the ink faded.
