George was listed as age 7 in the 1910 census, and not at all in the 1900 census (unless he is the same child listed as Sherman age 1 born Feb 1898.) So it is very likely that the birthdate of 26 Sep 1895 reported in his marriage record to Viola is wrong by at least five years, perhaps as much as eight years. (Another piece of evidence, albeit negative, is that I cannot find a WW I draft registration for him.)
Unfortunately, George W. Craig is a common enough name that once you open up the birthdate that much, it is difficult to identify him in the later censuses (1920 and 1930). The most likely year of birth is 1902.
