Her death certificate records Lou Golda, died 14 Apr 1940 in Big Woods, Menifee Co., Ky, age 78, born 22 Aug 1872 in Kentucky, father Henry Donathan, mother’s maiden name Sarah ?, widow of Jack Golda, deceased, cause of death old age and malnutrition, informant Steve Harmon, Dan, Ky, burial in Back Cemetery.

The birthdate is very likely incorrect, because Lou was listed as age 46 in 1910 and age 66 in 1930.

1920 census of Randolph Co., Indiana, Winchester ward 3, White River township, enumerated 13 Jan, lists on p. 11B as family #301/311:
Golda, Lou, 54, widowed; Harmon, Stephen, son, 19, single, laborer at glass bottle factory. Both born Ky Ky Ky.

(Note that Lou’s stepson Shelby Goldy was also recorded as resident in Winchester, Indiana and working at Woodbury Glass Co. on his WW I draft card.)

Jackson Goldy was still alive, so Lou is apparently referring to her first husband when she reports herself as widowed.

1930 census of Randolph Co., Indiana, Winchester ward 3, White River township, enumerated 5 April, lists on p. 6A as family #125/133, at 612 Union St:
Goldie, Lou, 66, widowed; Harmon, Steve, 27, son, laborer at bottle factory. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
