Mallie’s son Ray was apparently fathered by a Flanery, based on his birth record. I do not have any information on the father of Mallie’s daughters Myrtle and Faye, but it may be the same person.
Census
1930 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Laurel precinct, enumerated 9 April, lists on p. 4A as family #59:
Pennington, Dewey, 29, age at first marriage 23; Ivory, dau, 5; Muriel, dau, 4 9/12; Mallie, wife, 30, age at first marriage 24; Jenkins, Fay, stepdau, 10; Myrtle, 18, stepdau, Ray, 13, stepson. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The age for Myrtle seems somewhat unlikely, since Mallie would have been only 12 when she was born if it is correct.
