His obituary reported “"Charles Walter Burton, 75, of Ewing, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Nicholas County Hospital.
He was born Feb. 19, 1936, in Mason County to the late Edgar and Stella Burton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Tootsie Burton.
He was a chef for S&S Cafeterias and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by four sons, Mike (Bonnie) Burton, Jim (Polly) Burton, Gary Burton and Tony Burton, all of Ewing; two daughters, Marcie Jandro and Julie Burton, both of Ewing; 12 grandchildren, Christie Burton, Cole Burton, Regina Fulton, Tina and Trista Jandro, Tiffany Taylor, Bobby, Jonothan and Casey Burton, Derek McFarland, Megan Burton and Tabitha Abner; and one great-grandchild, Keagan Florence.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robby Burton; and one great-grandchild, Tyler Burton.
Services are 1 p.m,. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Denton-Workman Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.
Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery - Mount Tabor, Ewing."

Her obituary reported “Mrs. Velma "Tootsie" Irene Burton, 69, of Fairview died Wednesday, March 22, 2006.
Mrs. Burton was born on Aug. 11, 1936, daughter of James and Ruby Thompson Hinton.
Mrs. Burton is survived by her husband, Walter Burton of Ewing; four sons, Mike (Bonnie) Burton of Ewing, Jim (Polly) Burton of Ewing, Gary (Rhonda) Burton of North Carolina and Tony (Lori) Burton of Ewing; two daughters, Marsha Jandro and Julie Burton, both of Ewing; one brother, James Marshall Hinton; 13 grandchildren, Christy, Regina, Tina, Tiffany, Trista, Bobby, Megan, Jonathon, Derek, Casey, Tabitha, Cole and Shelby; one great-grandchild, Tyler Burton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Keith Burton; four brothers, Charles Russell Hinton, George Samuel Hinton, Leo "Sketter" Hinton and Eugene Hinton; and one sister, Aletha Hinton Tumey.
Services for "Tootsie" will be at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home chapel today at 2 p.m. The Rev. Greg Tucker will be conducting services for "Tootsie." Interment to follow service at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Ewing."
