In the 1900 and 1910 censuses his name was spelled as Cloyd, but he later went by Claud or Claude.
His WW I draft registration card, filed 9 May 1892, records Claude Ramey, age 25, residence Bangor, Ky, born 9 May 1892 in Almarya, Ky, occupation farming, self-employed, married supporting a wife.
The SSDI lists Claud Ramey, born 9 May 1892, died July 1965, last residence Kentucky.
The Kentucky death index lists Claude Ramey, age 74, died 12 July 1965 in Morgan Co., residence Rowan Co.
There was another Claude Ramey, born 9 Feb 1893 in Knott Co., son of Samuel Ramey and Parlee Combs; be careful not to get them confused.
His gravestone, surprisingly given all the above records, is inscribed John C. Ramey.
