Her obituary in the Morehead News reported “Mrs. Laura Alice McDaniel LeMasters, 93, of Rt. 1, Olive Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 28, at St. Claire Medical Center.
A native of Elliott County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Polly Jan Cox McDaniel. Her husband, John LeMasters, died in 1953.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur Olen LeMasters and Ivan LeMasters, both of Olive Hill; three daughters, Lovel Blankenbeckler, Stark; Hazel Carter, Olive Hill, and Isolene Blankenbeckler, Mansfield, Ohio. Three foster children, Virgil Bair and Zada Johnson, both of Soldier, and Georgia Staton, Morehead. Also, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 30, at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Russell Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the Holbrook Cemetery in Elliott County.”
