“Cecil Ray Manis, 84, of the Beaverdale community, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Peachtree Estates.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Manis; parents, Bill and Flossie Manis; brothers, Robert Manis and Bill Manis; and sister, Mildred Manis.
He was a member of Cross Pointe Christian Centre.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Larry Dunn of Dalton; sister, Billy Dillingham of Dalton; granddaughter, Kayla Dunn of Dalton; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Manis is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cross Pointe Christian Centre with the Rev. Clayton Brown and the Rev. Stan Lester officiating.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the funeral service.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers serving will be Billy Dillingham, Donnie Dillingham, Leonard Manis, Harold Manis, Ricky Guinn and Bruce Edwards.”

“Lucille Gulledge Manis, 84, of the Beaverdale community, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Peachtree Estates Assisted Living.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Tine Gulledge.
She was a member of Cross Pointe Christian Centre.Survivors include her husband, Cecil Ray Manis of the Beaverdale community; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Larry Dunn of Dalton; sisters, Alma Jean Sloane, Eula Mae Petty and Peggy Palmer, all of Dalton; brother, Charlie Gulledge of Dalton; grandchild, Kayla Dunn of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services are Sunday at 3 p.m. at Cross Pointe Christian Centre with the Rev. Eugene Williams, the Rev. Clayton Brown and Chaplain David LeGrand. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.”
