“Mr. Donald Bruce Shelton, age 52, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the local hospital. Donald was born November 27, 1957 in Whitfield County, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Pettit Shelton, sister Gail Shelton Bearden.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Shelton of Dalton, GA; father and stepmother, Willis and Kathy Shelton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Lisa Shelton, David and Kathy Shelton, Jimmy Shelton; sister, Joanne Hilliard all of Dalton, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Byron and Becky Crider, Dana and Brandi Ponder, Tony and Rhonda Ponder; special nieces and nephews, Michelle and Tim Smith, Jennifer and Donnie York, Angie Griffin, Devon Ponder, Tyler West, Dillon Ponder, Haley Ponder, Nathanyl Crider, Aiden Ponder, Adriona Stokes, Timmy Bearden, Tony Wiley, Keith Shelton, Lindsey Shelton; great niece and nephew, Savannah and Preston York.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Donald Bruce Shelton will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Donnie York and Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Tilton Cemetery with Keith Shelton, Winfred Bearden, Timmy Bearden, Keith Ponder, Tony Ponder, and Byron Crider serving as pallbearers.”
