Her obituary reported:
“Hattie M. Lewis, 93, of Ossian, died Monday at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church at Ossian.
She was born in Moorehead, Ky., Oct. 1, 1907 to U. Grant and Betty Brown Perry. Her marriage to Autie H. Lewis Sr., who died Oct. 8, 1987, took place Aug. 28, 1928 at Moorehead.
Surviving are a son, Autie Lewis Jr. of Ossian; a stepdaughter, Irene Jackemeyer of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mattie Balogh of Detroit, Mich, Lillie Sexton and Clasie Moore, both of Moorehead, Ky.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and three step great-great-grandchildren.
Two stepsons, Waldo and Harold, one sister; and five brothers are deceased.
Services at 11 a.m. Thursday will be at the United Methodist Church in Ossian with Rev. Michael Heinbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery at Ossian.
