According to descendants of Moody Alderman, he shot and killed Moody in 1941, and was then shot in turn by Moody’s brother Andrew J. Moody Jr., who was known as Bill, two years later. A grandson writes that “The Moore man was in the pool room and said he killed one Alderman and was going to kill another before he he went off to war. Bill was in the pool room when he said that and went to his car and came back with a shot gun and shot him. Then reloaded and shot him again. Bill got sent to prison. He stayed 8 or 10 years. My aunt knew the governor at the time and got him out.”
