The Kentucky birth index lists Zina Bailey, born 11 April 1914 in Menifee Co., mother’s maiden name Sarah Short. (It is not a delayed certificate. The certificate number is 20456, and the number of his sister Nina’s certificate is 20457.)
His death certificate records Zina Bailey, age 3 days, born 11 Apr 1915 in Ky, died 14 Apr 1915 in Menifee Co., Ky, father Anse Bailey, mother’s maiden name Sarah Short, both born in W.Va, cause of death unknown, informant Anse Bailey, Scranton, Ky, burial in Ginter burial ground.
The death certificate is, however, stamped delayed, filed 20 Feb 1916. It is unlikely that they would have two sons by the same name born exactly one year apart, with only one birth and one death record, so either the death date or the age is reported incorrectly. For now, I’m assuming the former.
