His surname is also spelled Mosely and Moseley. I am using the spelling that he went by later in life and that most of his descendants settled on.
His death certificate records Kelson Mosley, age 73 years 7 months 6 days, born 10 May 1838 in Kentucky, died 16 Dec 1911 in Carter Co., Ky, married, farmer, father Hence Mosley, born in Tenn, mother’s maiden name Polly Sizemore, born in Ky, cause of death pneumonia, informant Wm Mosley, Gartrell, Ky, burial in Cooper Cemetery.
