“James (Jimmy) A. Bowman passed away on January 27, 2010 at his residence in Springfield, Ohio. He was born on January 28, 1957 to James Bowman and Velva Crose. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Velva and Jack Hoberty; one daughter, Jaimie Bowman of Florida; two sisters, Joy Dern of Springfield and Patricia Suttles of Florida. He is survived by several aunts, Lennie Perkins and Ruth Workman, both of Clearfield, Ky., Jennifer Louise King of Fort Worth, Texas, Goldie Bowman, Lucille Bowman, and Beatrice Larson, all of Indiana, Clara Conn of Morehead. He is survived by two uncles, Carl Crose and Vernon Crose of Clearfield, Ky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
James was a machinist for over 20 years in Florida. He served in the United States Army and National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Graveside services were held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements were in care of Jackson Lytle Williams Funeral Home in Springfield, Ohio.”
