1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Caney precinct, enumerated 25 June, lists on p. 15B as family #217/231:
Haney, Frank, 52, b. Feb 1848, farmer; Gilla A., wife, 51, b. Jan 1849, married 32 years, mother of 7 children, 6 living; William A., son, (27 in ink crossed out and replaced in pencil with 23), b. July 1876; Troy K, son, 17, b. May 1883; Frances, dau, 15, b. Apr 1885; Nancy, dau, 6, b. Jan 1894. Elam, John T., son-in-law, 29, b. May 1871, farmer; Persilla, dau, 30, b. Mar 1870, married 10 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Annie, niece, 8, b. June 1891; Mary, niece, 7, b. May 1893; William M., nephew, 4, b. Feb 1896; Loula, niece, 3, b. The inconsistency between the age and birthdate for William should have been resolved in the favor of the age rather than the birth date, which is why I described the way it was entered. The children of John Elam and Priscilla Haney should be recorded as grandchildren to Frank and Gilla, not nieces and nephews.
