I cannot find any good match in the 1880 census (taken in June), so the birthdate of April 1880 from the 1900 census is probably wrong. (There were two Elizabeth Fraley’s in Elliott Co. who were age 4 in the 1880 census; no closer matches, not even girls with other given names and a middle initial E or L.) Most likely she was really born in 1881, and thus would not appear in any census with her parents.

In 1910 Leander was recorded with his half sister Melvina and her second husband Edward McDowell as Lee Pennington, brother-in-law, 35, widowed. (No children with him.) His age should have been 30.
