“Hildreth Purvis, 90, passed away June 8, 2011. She was a Bath County native, born Jan. 12, 1921 to David Lee and Mayme Manley Beadle. Hildreth was a member of the Owingsville Methodist Church.
Hildreth is survived by three daughters, Patty Riddle of Lewis County, Carolyn Hornback of South Carolina and Jeanette Gaye Reeves of Flemingsburg; two sons, Freddie Purvis of Texas and David Purvis of Owingsville; twelve grandchildren and several great and great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Hildreth was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Purvis and her parents, David Lee and Mayme Manley Beadle.
Funeral services were held June 12, 2011 at the Richie Hunt Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Ray officiated. Burial followed in the Owingsville Cemetery.”
