His name is also spelled Espy. I cannot find a death or cemetery record for him or Pearl.
Be careful not to confuse him with his first cousin Espie G. Purvis, born 17 Mar 1903, son of Millard Fillmore Purvis, who married Louisiana Sexton, moved to Marion, Indiana by 1926 and died April 1972 in Missouri.

The ages for Espie and Pearl are both younger than implied by previous census years. Espie was listed as 8 in 1910 and 18 in 1920; Pearl was listed as 17 in 1920 (I have not found her in 1910 - she is not with her father and stepmother.)
