(The preceding household is that of my great-great-great grandfather Samuel Pettit, and his second wife Rebecca Foster.)
I cannot find this family in the 1870 census.
1880 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Newcomb precinct, enumerated 21 June, lists on p. 22 as family #174/178:
Hamilton, David, 42, farmer; Milla, 40, wife; Meredith, 20, son; Julia, 18, dau; John M., 15, son; Davis, 13, son; Lee, 11, son; William, 5, son; Mary J., 2, dau; Keen, Mary, 70, mother-in-law, widowed. All listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although that conflicts with other records that Andrew and Mary Keen were born in Tennessee.
