His obituary in the Bath County News Outlook of 22 Jan 2009 reported:
“Omer McClain, 94, of Mill Creek Road, Means, passed away Jan. 14, 2009 in Quincy, Indiana. He was the widower of Selma McCormick McClain.
A Bath County native, he was born Feb. 25, 1914, the son of the late Brack and Rettie Reffitt McClain.
He is survived by one daughter, Vedia Carolyn (Marion) Baker of Quincy, Ind.; one son, Larry McClain of Means; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Randall David McClain; one daughter, Freida Arlene; and one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 17 at Richie Hunt Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Johnson officiating. Burial was in Owingsville Cemetery.”
