Clark, Jesee H., 28, farmer; Georgean, 30, wife; Malindy M., 5, dau; Catheren, 4, dau; James F., 3, son; John R., son, 2. All born Ky Ky Ky.
1900 census of Bath Co., Ky, Owingsville precinct, enumerated 1 June, lists on p. 1A as family #4:
Clark, Jesse, 50, b. May 1850, farmer; George Ann, wife, 52, b. Jan 1848, married 25 years, mother of 8 children, 5 living; Nannie, dau, 13, b. Apr 1887. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Jesse cannot have been born in May 1850, because he does not appear in the 1850 census. He is recorded as age 9 in 1860 and 19 in 1870, so he was probably born in May 1851.
I have not found this family after 1900. There are no death records in Kentucky for any of them, so I suspect they moved out of state, perhaps to Vermilion Co., Illinois where the Thompson Jones family (George Ann’s parents) moved. Since they all have common names it would be hard to identify them without a death database that indexes the parent names, which very few states do, Illinois not being among them.
