His obituary in the Owingsville Outlook reported:
“Richard Copher. a 76-year-old -retired county farmer living on Rt. 3, Owingsville passed away Wednesday, April 7, in the Mary Chiles Hospital, Mt. Sterling, after a long illness.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie Blevins Copher; one daughter, Dollie Ann Copher, Owingsville; two sons, Bobby Copher, Owingsville, and Ray Copher, Alabama; one brother, John Copher, Mt. Sterling; one sister, Mrs. Ashby Roberts, Owingsville; six grand-children and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 10, at Richardson and Hunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Everett Davis officiating. Burial was in the Oldfield Cemetery.”
