Bath Co., Ky marriage records certify that Solaman Jerry Staton and Isabelle Ulery were married on 5 Nov 1874 at the house of Isaac Ulery by James Staton, Minister of the Christian Church, witnesses William Lowery & Albert Staton.
Although the minister’s return records Solomon’s middle name as Jerry, other records (such as the 1880 census) show it as Perry.

The two older daughters are probably from a previous marriage, since Perry and Isabell had only been married 5 1/2 years. The preceding household is headed by Isabelle’s parents Isaac and Mary A. Ulery.
