Her obituary in the Sharon Pennsylvania Herald reported:
“Mollie L. Brest of 854 Lyle Drive in Hermitage, formerly of 438 Watson St., Sharon, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday (4-3-07) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 90.
Mrs. Brest was born July 6, 1916, in Olive Hill, Ky., a daughter of George and Bertha Bush Frayley.
She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 299 of Sharon and for several years also served as a Girl Scout leader.
A homemaker, Mrs. Brest was a longtime partner and bookkeeper with her husband in his local businesses.
Her husband of 66 years, Ollie R. Brest, whom she married July 20, 1938, preceded her in death Nov. 14, 2004.
She is survived by: her two daughters, Sherry J. Willison, Hermitage; and Sue Ellen Bertels and her husband Donald, New Port Richey, Fla.; three grandchildren, Eva Drobezko and her husband David, Slippery Rock; Amy Mendicino and her husband Mark, Allison Park, Pa.; and Chris Bertels, Tampa, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren, Monica and Matthew Drobezko; and Amanda and Joshua Mendicino.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Otto, Orville and Robert Frayley; and three sisters, Lena Frayley, Mable Huff and Georgia Bukus.
