The younger James and Nancy are marked as married within the year. (This census does not show marital status other than for newlyweds.) Judging by the age order, it is most likely that Mary is a daughter of Elias, who is probably widowed, and that Daniel, Elias and the younger James are sons of James & Betsy. (If Mary were a daughter of James & Betsy, then probably Elias would have been listed above Daniel.)
