Her obituary reported “Carlinville, Feb 28 -- Lucinda DANIEL KARRICK, daughter of Charles and Carrie Daniel was born at Salt Lick, Kentucky, March 22, 1837, and died yesterday at age 91 years, 11 months and 5 days, at the home of her nephew and daughter-in-law, C. W. and Julia Karrick of Shaws Point. (Shaws Point Twp., Macoupin Co., IL)
    Decedent was united in marriage in 1856 to John P. Karrick, who preceded her in death. Those surviving are, Thomas Karrick of Shaws Point; Richard Karrick of Huntsville, Mo., Carolina Blevins of Owinsville, Ky.; Samuel Karrick of Carlinville and Susan Lewis of near Chesterfield (Macoupin Co., IL). Besides her children she leaves 87 grandchildren, 125 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at the Shaws Point Christian church at 1 o'clock Friday. Rev. C. J. Upton will officiate. Interment will be in the Shaws Point or Elmwood cemetery.”
