Notes for Thomas Roberson
Thomas probably died before 1930, when Garnetta was living with his parents, although it is possible that he and Bethel were still married. (It is unlikely they were divorced, since children of divorced parents rarely lived with their paternal grandparents in those days.)

1920 census of Butler Co., Ohio, Middletown ward 4, enumerated 5 Jan, lists on p. 5A as family #69/87, at 710 Logan St:
Roberson, Thomas, 18, galvanizing at steel mill; Bethel, wife, 18; Smith, John, brother-in-law, 17, single, laborer at cycle mfg co.; Gladis, sister-in-law, 8 All born Ky Ky Ky.
I cannot find either Thomas or Bethel in the 1930 census. Their daughter Garnetta age 9 is living with Thomas’s parents. By 1940 Bethel was remarried to Albert Wardlow, and Garnetta was living with them.
