Logan Co., West Virginia marriage records list the marriage on 28 Nov 1926 of George Cox, age 23, born in Ky, and Masel Richards, age 21, born in W. Va.

Charles is probably not a child of this marriage, since he was born about 3 years earlier, and he does not appear with George & Masel in the 1930 census. Most likely he is a son of George and an ealrier wife. He may have been with his mother or her relatives in 1930.

Cox, George, 26, age at first marriage 22, coal miner; Macel, wife, 23, age at first marriage 18. Both listed as born WVa WVa WVa, although it is wrong for George.
