His death certificate records Jesse J. Caskey, age 90 years 1 month 16 days, born 15 Nov 1824 in Morgan Co., Ky, died 1 Jan 1915 in West Liberty, Morgan Co., Ky, widower, father Robt Caskey, born in Ky, mother’s maiden name blank, cause of death lagrippe, informant blank, home burial.

1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, West Liberty precinct, enumerated 12 June, lists on p. 8B as family #156/158:
Sellers, William R., 32, b. Dec 1867, farmer; Mary B., wife, 22, b. Dec 1877, married 4 years, mother of 0 children; Caskey, Jesse, stepfather, 75, widowed. All born Ky Ky Ky. Dyre, James, servant, 71, b. May 1829, Ky Ky Va.
If the “stepfather” relationship is correct, then Jesse must have remarried sometime between 1880 and 1900 to William’s mother, and then been widowed a second time. The relationship is probably wrong, though, since I cannot find any record of a second marriage for Jesse. He was William’s grandfather-in-law, since William’s wife Mary was the daughter of Jesse’s daughter Mosalete.
1910 census of Morgan Co., Ky, West Liberty precinct, enumerated 23 April, lists on p. 6A as family #97/103:
Caskey, James Tom, 64, farmer; Mosolete, wife, 62, first marriage for both, married 45 years, mother of 10 children, 6 living; Mone Dell, dau, 19, single; Jessie J., father-in-law, 85, widowed. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The “wife” relationship for Lou is to Jesse’s son Gardy. Although it states here that Jessy is widowed, his wife Jane was recorded in 1880 with their daughter Mosalete and her husband.
