Her death certificate records Missouri Emmons, age 73, birthdate blank, born in Ky, died 11 Aug 1917 in Poplar Plains, Fleming Co., Ky, father John McClain, birthplace don’t know, mother’s maiden name Sibey Reeves, born in Ky, cause of death arteriosclerosis, informant Ottis Nelis, Tolesburg, Ky, burial in Ringo Mills.

In 1860 Missouri was living with Benjamin’s parents, but was still single:

William Emmons, 70, farmer, b. Va; Anfield (f), 30, b. Ky; Benjamin, 21; James H., 19; Sibby, 18; Manerva J., 16; Mary, 14; Helen V., 12; Sarah P., 6; Charlotte, 4; Misouri Reeves, 18. All except William born in Ky.
1870 census of Bath Co., Ky, Bethel township, enumerated 26 July, lists on p. 20 as family #110:
Emmons, Benjamin, 32, farmer; Missourie, 27; Elizabeth, 11; William W., 9; John, 7; Carrie, 3; infant, 5/12. All born in Kentucky.
The age for Elizabeth cannot be right, since she was not listed in the 1860 census. Later records say she was born May 1861; if so, it would be 7 months before her parents married. I suspect she was really born in May 1862, which would be 5 months after they married. The ages for William and John are probably about 2 years too old as well. (The fact that John’s full name was John Wilkes Booth Emmons would seem to support the hypothesis that he was born after Lincoln was shot in March 1865, although it is possible that they attached the middle names when John was a toddler.)
