Montgomery, Earnest, 28, b, Ky Ky Va; Emma, wife, 27, b. Ky Ky Ky; Lila, dau, 11; Nevauda, dau, 8; Claud, son, 6; Maudie, dau, 3 11/12; Auda, dau, 2 11/12. All children born Ky Ky Ky.
I cannot find this family in the 1930 census. Judging by the birth records of their children, they were probably in Montgomery Co., Ky. (The Kentucky birth index lists Laverne b. 8 Aug 1926 in Montgomery Co, Smantha b. 8 Nov 1928 in Montgomery Co, and Earn b. 16 Sep 1931 in Montgomery Co., as well as a death record for Smantha on 30 Jan 1929, which gave Earnie’s residence as Jeffersonville.)
1940 census of Bath Co., Ky, ED 6-7 (White Sulphur precinct outside Salt Lick), lists on p. 1B as family #18:
