(Albert is probably Sylvester’s son, the brother who was living with Frank Darby and his wife Flora Robbins in the 1930 census. It is possible, though, that he is instead Sylvester’s younger brother Albert, who died 14 Dec 1927.)

Her death certificate records Jane Darby, age 67 years 6 months 1 day, born 3 Mar 1857 in Vinton Co., Ohio, died 4 Sep 1924 in Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio, residence R.R. #5, widow of Sylvester Darby, father’s name Smith, mother’s maiden name unknown, cause of death decompensation due to myocarditis, informant Philip F. Kuhn, R.R. 5, Dayton, Ohio, burial in Allensville, Ohio.

My only connection to this family is that their son Charles Franklin Darby, known as Frank, was the second husband of Flora Robbins, whose first husband was my first cousin three times removed John W. Pettit. But since so many people find my web site by searching, I like to enter complete family groups whenever it isn’t too hard.
