“WILLIAMS, Ruby Inez age 101, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday at the Atrium Medical Center.
She was born in Menifee County, Kentucky, April 23, 1909, a daughter of Herman and Minnie Fields.
Ruby was the funniest person you could meet. She was always smiling, and loved her family unconditionally. She was formerly a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Her husband, Lenox Williams, preceded her in death in 1968. She was also preceded in death by 5 daughters, Geraldine Williams, Christine Williams, Sue VanDyne, Janice Apking, and Darlene Combs; 2 grandsons, Jason Williams and Ricky Green; and 3 sisters, Opal Fields, Exie Graham and Elma Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Rev. Gerald) Green; two sons, Tom (Laura) Williams and Emery "Mutt" (Donna) Williams; 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 32 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. William Fields.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the Nurses and caregivers at the Atrium Medical Center, Hawthorn Glen, and to Dr. Barry Robertson and staff, for her excellent care. Friends may call at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home from 12 noon until 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Gerald Green will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery.”
