“LEWIS, Darrell F. age 73, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties where he had been a patient for two days.
He was born March 7, 1937 in West Liberty, Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army during 1957 and 1958. He was employed as a supervisor for convenience stores for 15 years. Darrell was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church of Carlisle.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Asa and Hazel Lewis; four sisters, Deloris, Marie, Betty and Darlene; and one brother, James C. Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, D. Sue Lewis; one daughter, Leah Izor and Cary Feezor; one grandson, Joshua Bartram; one granddaughter, Emily Izor; mother-in-law, Nellie Center and husband Henry; and many nieces and nephews.
Notice, change in day for visitation with the family will be Monday, April 19, 2010 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Hillcrest Baptist Church, 820 Central Ave., Carlisle, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Larry Lambes officiating. Military services will follow by the Combined Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.”
