His WW I draft registration card, filed 5 June 1918 in Adams Co., Ohio, records Landis Wagner, 21, residence Manchester Rt #1, Ohio, born 15 Jan 1896 in Harrison Co., Ky, father born in Ky, employer Joseph (surname illegible), Manchester, Ohio, nearest relative Myers Landin (? hard to read), Manchester, Ohio. (It appears that the relative field originally contained a repeat of Landis Wagner, which was then lined out and the other name written above.)
The Ohio deaths index lists Lanis Wagner, age 80, died 18 Oct 1975 at home in Adams Co., Ohio, divorced.
I cannot find him in the 1900 or 1910 census; he may have been going by another given name. (There were a lot of Wagoner/Wagner families in Harrison and neighboring Nicholas counties.) The easiest way to find his parents may be to look for the marriage record to Lillie Hawkins.
The Ohio deaths index lists Lanis Wagner, age 80, died 18 Oct 1975 at home in Adams Co., Ohio, divorced.

1920 census of Adams Co., Ohio, Sprigg township, Bradyville precinct, enumerated 15 Jan, lists on p. 8A as family #150/154:
Wagner, Lanis, 25, married, farmer, b. Ky Ky Ky.
Although it says Lanis is married, there is no wife in the household. Perhaps he maintained two farms, and she was back in Kentucky? The marginal locality notation says “Lick Skillet”; I do not know if this is a road or an area.
1930 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, Salt Lick, enumerated 9 April, lists on p. 7A as household #152, on Moores Ferry Road:
Wagoner, Landrus, 29, single, farmer, b. Ky Ky Ky.
