Notes for Zelma Mary Blanton
She was recorded in the 1910 census as Mary age 2, and in the 1920 census as Zenna age 11, but all later records give her name as Zelma. (Zelma Blanton wife of James Buckler is known to be the same person as Mary Zenna Blanton daughter of Lafayette Blanton due to being listed as a sister-in-law in 1930 to Russell Flora who married Arizona Blanton.)
The SSDI lists Zelma Buckler, born 15 June 1908, died June 1984, last residence Paris, Bourbon Co., Ky, SSN issued in Kentucky in 1962.
The Kentucky death index lists Zelma B. Buckler, age 75, died 27 June 1984 in Harrison Co., residence Bourbon Co. (The B probably just stands for Blanton, not an actual middle name. The Kentucky death index usually puts the maiden name initial as the middle initial for married or widowed women.)

1930 census of Fayette Co., Ky, Lexington ward 4, enumerated 5 April, lists on p. 7B as family #146/150, at 553 Pemberton Ave:
Flora, Russell, 31, age at first marriage 21, fence builder for hardware store; Arizona, wife, 26, age at first marriage 16; Ruth, dau, 9; Juanita, dau, 1 2/12. Buckner, Zelma, sister-in-law, 21, age at first marriage 17; James, brother-in-law, 22, age at first marriage 18, fence builder for hardware store; Katherine, step niece, 2 10/12; Raymond, step nephew, 5/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
By “step” is apparently meant “in law”, that is, Katherine and Raymond are blood niece and nephew of Arizona, not of Russell. By the official census rules, this should have been recorded as two families sharing a dwelling, with James being a head-of-household, since he was married and not a dependent of Russell Flora.
1940 census of Bourbon Co., Ky, Hutchinson township, ED 9-14, enumerated 3 April, lists on p. 1B as family #17, on Bethlehem Pike:
Buckler, James, 36, farm operator; Zelma, wife, 31; Ida Katherine, dau, 13; Raymon, son, 11; Russell Lee, son, 8; Katheline M., dau, 6; James Evans (?) Jr., son, 2. All born in Kentucky, living in Fleming Co., Ky in 1935.
Ancestry.com has transcribed the middle name of the son James as Elmer. It looks to me more like Evans, in that there is no ascender anywhere. But the handwriting is very cramped.
