Some family trees on Ancestry.com identify him as the Ralph Jones listed in the Ohio births index as born 31 Dec 1902 in Wellston, Jackson Co., Ohio, father John W. Jones, mother’s maiden name Dora Patton, but I am not sure that they aren’t just blindiy accepting Ancestry’s hints. His gravestone in Stewart Cemetery has the years only, 1901 - 1961, and if he were born in Dec 1902 he would be only 58 when he died.
