Notes for Milton Paxton Davis
His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Milton Paxton Davis, age 44, residence Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, born 26 Dec 1873, occupation banker, employer Morehead State Bank, nearest relative Ida Davis (wife), same address.
Date of death is from his gravestone. I cannot find him in either the Kentucky death index or the SSDI. So he may have died out of state, perhaps in Indiana where his oldest daughter Willnah was living (with her husband Harlan Hall, my dad’s second cousin, which is my connection to this family.)
Census
I cannot find him in the 1880 census.
Notes for Ida B. Bradley
The SSDI lists Ida Davis, born 20 Jan 1881, died Apr 1965, residence not recorded, SSN issued in Indiana before 1951.
The Kentucky death index lists Ida B. Davis, age 84, died 23 April 1965 in Rowan Co., residence same.
Her gravestone also has her birth date as Jan 20, 1881. The 1900 census gave it as Jan 1882.

I have not figured out how Milton and Ida come by the relationship of nephew and niece. None of Joel Head’s siblings that I can find married a Davis or a Bradley. (His parents were Jefferson T. Head and Harriett Duvall of Mercer Co., Ky.) Maybe it comes in through Drusilla’s side. (Her maiden name was Talbott, but I do not know her parents.)
