This is the same birth date that is on his gravestone.

He is not in the 1910 census of Rowan Co. or environs, nor Henry Co., Indiana, and there are too many Robert Fishers born ca 1880-1881 scattered about the country with birthplaces of Virginia or Kentucky for me to be able to identify which one might be him.

1920 census of Henry Co., Indiana, Wayne township, enumerated 16 Jan, lists on p. 5A as family #123, at 424 S. Washington St, Knightstown:
Jones, Thomas, 41, laborer on railroad; Mollie F., wife, 34; Hazel, dau, 11; Beulah, dau, 9; Opal, dau, 8; Oral R. son, 4 10/12. All born Ky Ky Ky. Fisher, Robert, roomer, 39, divorced, b. Ky US US, laborer on railroad.

(From the Ky birth index, Mollie’s maiden name was Thomas, and Opal was born in Lewis Co., Ky. But I cannot find the family in the 1910 census to see if Robert Fisher might already be with them.)

Her death certificate records Malinda W. Florence, age 40 years 8 months 7 days, born 4 July 1880 in Kentucky, died 11 Mar 1921 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, widowed, father Geo W. Moore, born in Virginia, mother’s maiden name Ruthie Jane Gahart, born in Kentucky, cause of death tuberculosis of lungs, informant Val Moore, Farmers, Ky, burial in Moore Graveyd.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 5, b. 357, records the marriage on 7 Dec 1905 of Robert Fisher and Malinda Moore.
