Menifee Co., Ky birth records list Emeline Staton, born 17 Oct 1876, father George Staton, mother’s maiden name M. F. Blevins. They also list Emily Staton, born 15 Oct 1876, fatther George W. Staton, mother’s maiden name Susan Blevins. I do not believe these are two different births, say of twins Emeline and Emily. More likely the birth was just reported by two different people. These annual birth reports were made by combining reports submitted in the spring by doctors and midwives of all the births they attended during the previous year.

The Kentucky death index lists Emma L. Crouch, age 79, died 7 Feb 1955 in Bath Co., residence same.
